Hello World !!

Team Codeyantra welcomes you to the offical coding page of SLRTCE

Follow us on:

Our Goal

Codeyantra is a student’s programming committee which aims at promoting and inspiring students to get involved with competitive programming. The entire team of Codeyantra consist of dedicated and passionate programmers of SLRTCE. The only objective of our organizination is to provide a caring, conducive and coding-friendly environment in the college so as to empower students to express their programming knowlegde, share and discuss ideas, to spread awarness and coolness of coding.
Codeyantra aims to achieve and explore far reaches of coding which are beyond college syllabus, that is of practical importance and corporate relevance. For the same we organise various competitive programming competition, various doubt solving and learning lectures, weekly coding tasks, and actively take part in global coding competitions and encourage others to do the same.

Founder's Message

Mehul Dholiya

''In today’s reality, Companies spend a huge amount to train students who then are of value to them. While our education system provides reasonable knowledge in all aspects of computation, we still lack in their Applications. Having gone through the first year of Engineering without any significant exposure to programming outside the syllabus, I felt the need to initiate a committee for programming. CODE-YANTRA is therefore an initiative which looks forward to enhance the programming skills of the SLRTCE Students, so we together can contribute towards the realization of India's Dream in Technological Advancement''

A Begginer's Guide to get started with coding

1. Learn Coding Language

Learning programming language is the first step towards learning coding. You may start with C, C++, Java or Python. The choice of the first language is highly subjective based on your interests and goals.

2. Learn Data Structures and Algorithms

The next step after getting comfortable with programming language is to learn Data Structures and Algorithms.Data structures and algorithms help in building the right aptitude required for programming. Knowledge about the data structures will help you in choosing the right one for the problem you are solving.

3. Start Competitive Programming

The next step is to start solving programming questions on various sites like CodeChef, Topcoder, Hackerrank, etc. The more problems you solve it is better for you. After you have become comfortable with solving the questions and coding the solutions, you can then start participating in various online programming contests. Doing this will enhance your programming skills a lot.

# Some Other Tips

1. To be a better programmer, you must be good at maths. Because math simply make a person more logical, creative and intelligence. Here, are some website links to practice and sharpen your maths skills.

2. You should also use some visualizing tools and websites for better understanding of Code, Algorithms and Data Structures. We can properly visualize step by step working of code(with some limitations).
